Don almohadón built a new martes factory increasing and improving its production capacity and finishing its products. This new mattress factory is based on quality, health and ecology criterias. We hope these three parameters will provide our customers with a better rest.

Don Almohadón and the Red Cross support the creation of a day nursery in Burkina Faso 15/06/2010

Where the education of 100 children will be granted. With everybody´s effort, we will take care of many more smiles. Thanks to this project, a day nursery will be built in one of the places mostly affected by poverty in Burkina Faso.

Public Presentation of the Project between Don Almohadón and the Red Cross (Together for Childhood: Day Nursery in Bobodogo) 15/06/2010

Last Tuesday February 20th, the collaboration agreement between Don Almohadón and the Red Cross to build a day nursery in Bobodogo was presented in Redolins day nursery in Valencia. Bobodogo is one of the districts mostly affected by poverty in Ougadougou, capital city of a country (Burkina Faso) that, according to the UNO, carries the third smaller development index in the world. This initiative will guarantee the education of a hundred schoolchildren ages three to six. Mr Fernando del Rosario, representing the Red Cross, and Mr. Jose Olcina and Mr. Jose Antonio Calabuig on the side of Don Almohadón took part in the event. Also, Rocio Jurados´s niece and singer, Rocio Mohedano was present, as well as the winners of Operación Triunfo (TV show Fame Academy) Leo and Lorena, and football players Ettien and Kapo from Levante who distributed toys among the children of Redolins day nursery.

Spanish Red Cross in Valencia 415 693 people attended in 2009 with support from partners and 15 958 113 016 volunteers. Data obtained from the Red Cross Annual Report in Valencia. The publication confirms the efforts we have made with each other to meet the needs crossing extremely difficult situations for the economic crisis. All who are part of the Spanish Red Cross, volunteers, partners and other members and collaborators, we have worked to recognize the dignity of all people. And in a moment that, more than ever, responsible citizens we need to recover the values of solidarity and participate in building a more just and without discrimination. I have the pleasure of sending you the document is a summary of all actions performed by the Red Cross in Valencia, with a firm commitment to continue working in the future to alleviate human suffering. Last 12th June 2009 (World day against children work),the Spanish Red Cross gave a gratitude certificate te the company Don Almohadón for their support to the project to fight against the children´s explotation by means of the campaign "Right to Smile". The ceremony was attended by the Generalitat Valenciana Counselor for Immigration,Mr.Rafael Blasco and by the President of The Red Cross-Comunitat Valenciana,Mr.Fernando del Rosario.
